Here are some tips I discovered on my journey that works when the pressure is on!!
1. Inhale/Exhale- Most people forget to breathe – Oxygen relaxes the brain and the body.
2. Breathe slowly and if possible close your eyes at the same time.
3. Every Hour Take Five Minutes and get up from your desk and stand – go to the water cooler and get a drink of water – it is healthy too.
4. Take plenty of Vitamin C and don’t drink to much Java
5. Have Fun and smile
6. Escape and Let GO-Many times a tense situation will make us want to run away- Obviously you cannot sometimes but that doesn’t mean you can’t mentally escape. Thinking is the best way to travel. Think about pleasant and beautiful places you have been, or think of a favorite song and hum it to yourself. Master this art and you can retreat there again and again when you find the situation is out of your control. Some people call this “Daydreaming”.
7. Relax, Breathe, and Listen to your body and take your mini escape when you need to. Thinking is the best way to travel. You will be well on the way to enjoying a healthier mind and body, which will enhance your overall satisfaction in all areas of your life.
